As soon as I see the bright beautiful twilight colours outlining the tree top silhouettes, the impact is straight away an astonishing 5 stars. Seeing the bright contrast with the dark creates a beautiful first impression which I must congratulate you for.
This brings me to my next point, you have captured a scene that I must admit I have seen done before, thus why i didn't give you a higher star rating for "originality". This does not mean this photo is bad, in fact quite the opposite! You have taken something that has been previously done and put your own touch to it, making the artwork personal and intriguing to look at.
Personally I have not studied much photography theory except the "rule of thirds", so I will talk about that. The structure used is good, you have separated the element that should be apart and blended those that should combine, especially where the tallest tree reaches into the sky in the left hand side; this creates an interesting point of focus!
I don't know whether this was planned or not, but it looks like it was because I can clearly see the vision for how it would turn out. This comes through in the part where the sun is shinning through the middle of the trees. 5 Stars for vision.
*Critic note: This has been my first critic, apologies if there is something I missed, overall a great shot, you should be proud of yourself!!!
